What floor types can the socket be installed in?
The socket is fixed into hard, flat floors such as concrete or tiling, using suitable fixings. On a soft or loose surface a rigid sub-base is recommended. Our technical team can advise on the right fixings for your venue.
How is this different from a permanent bolt-down post?
A bolt-down post stays fixed in place once installed. With UNFIX, the socket is installed once, but the post itself lifts out without tools whenever the space needs to be completely clear.
Can I install several sockets and move one post between them?
Yes. Install sockets at multiple points and move the same post between locations as your layout changes. Each unused socket closes flush with a cap.
How many posts do I need for a barrier line?
Allow roughly one post every 3 metres for a taut belt and a legible line. Our team can size a full deployment on request.
Are these posts suitable for outdoor use?
They are designed for indoor and covered outdoor use. For fully exposed outdoor deployments, contact us for the right finish and hardware recommendation.
Can the posts connect to a wall or to each other?
Yes. The belt end clips onto the neighbouring post or onto a wall-mounted receiver, letting you build straight runs or corners.
Can I get my logo printed on the belt?

Can I replace just the belt or the reel if it wears out?
Yes. Belt, reel and socket are sold separately, so a worn part costs a fraction of a full post replacement.

Ground-mounted belt post: permanent installation
The ground-mounted post is designed for permanent installations where absolute stability takes priority over flexibility. Its lower section (mounting stem) is embedded in concrete or a metal sleeve, eliminating any risk of tipping and providing mechanical strength far superior to mobile models.
Mounting methods
- Direct embedding: the stem is set in fresh concrete foundation (typically 200mm depth). Irreversible solution but the most solid.
- Removable sleeve: a metal cylinder is set in the ground, the post inserts and locks into it. Allows removal for maintenance or layout modification.
- Bolt-down plate: see bolt-down models for a removable alternative without embedding.
When to choose a ground-mounted post
- Public or private parking lots (permanent lanes).
- Reception areas of establishments (banks, town halls, hospitals) with permanent configuration.
- Outdoor areas subject to wind or repeated passage.
- Secure spaces where risk of unauthorized displacement must be zero.
For flexible applications
If your configuration may evolve or if you need to clear the space regularly, compare with mobile options (instant setup) or magnetic options (no drilling on metal floors). For upscale environments, ground-mounted rope versions offer a warmer aesthetic.
